The firm was founded in August 2018 in Hangzhou, China, by Bruce (Shaolei) LI. Bruce is an option trading veteran. Prior to establish RiskMacro, he was head of traded credit risk for HACN, HSBC group. He also served as senior risk specialist for Morgan Stanley Capital International and Finastra, worked as quantitative analyst for Japanese industrial giant NTT and Nippon Steels. He is a former researcher in Peking University and graduated from the University of Tokyo.
